Over a recent holiday week, hundreds of swimmers in Tokyo crowded into the wave pool at Tokyo Summerland and waited for the broken wave machine to start working again.
This latest viral video shows something you would never see in a western pool - people swimming elbow to elbow and not trying to drown one another. And I'll bet there won't be any lawsuit from a hypersensitive swimmer who was inappropriately touched beneath the waves.
Implications - Due to the shift in power of modern social media and technological advances, the youth market controls much of the way news is spread and read. Companies that are looking to create a splash in their ad campaigns or stunts can use the youth market and social sites to spread the word about their products, company and branding.
