The name of the Water Tower Chair may seem odd at first since it looks nothing like an actual water tower, but it makes more sense once people learn that the material used to make it came from old water towers located in New York City. Although the wood has been reclaimed from such old structures, there is nothing overtly traditional about its design. The Water Tower Chair is a low-lying lounger that boasts sleek lines fit for the contemporary home.
The Water Tower Chair was designed by BELLBOY, a collaborative wood shop based in Brooklyn. 12 woodworkers crafted 12 Water Tower Chairs to be presented during New York's Design Week. They will be auctioned off to benefit the non-profit organization Brooklyn Woods.
