Mercer Amsterdam collaborated with Vegea on a new pair of sneakers called the W3RD Wine Pack, which feature a mix of natural materials, including wine leather. The sneakers also include components like mesh made from leftover PET bottles and a sole made from algae.

The vegan-friendly W3RD Wine Pack from Mercer Amsterdam’s Spring/Summer 2021 collection is said to have the look and soft feel of leather but also offer the advantages of a material that's sustainable and can be recycled. The W3RD Wine Pack sneakers are available in four colorways and sets itself apart as the first-of-its-kind wine leather product from the line.
