Now here's a controversial innovation: virtual babysitting via Skype.
I was actually told about this trend by my parents who personally know someone who uses Skype for virtual babysitting; specifically, they let their stay alone at home while they go out to run some errands or go on a romantic date and let their parents (the grandparents) watch the kids virtually via video Skype.
If issues arise, the grandparents can quickly dial in the parents on their mobile phones to inform them that they need to hurry home.
Legal? Probably not, but hey, neither is speeding but sometime you just have to do what you have to do.
