The Vogue Hommes Japan #9 issue is currently featuring a spread styled by Shun Watanabe. The intense psychedelic ensembles follow Watanabe's experience with Uniqlo, Jill Stuart and Reebok, although he has spent the greatest amount of time with the Vogue Hommes Japan publication.
The intense collage features that distinguish the #9 edition stem from photographer Damien Blottière's work. Blottière's Tumblr account tracks his latest collaborations with major magazines and labels, a good portion of which are characterized by erotic homosexual imagery.
Here Blottière and Watanabe juxtapose menswear and male models with highly saturated images of animals, reflective sunglasses and dripping paint. Pieces taken from the Dior Homme collection serve to bring together the unruly portraits.
