Entertainment Park Accessibility Maps

Visit Fort Wayne Supports People with Different Abilities

Visit Fort Wayne has launched a new set of accessibility maps designed to provide detailed information about the features and resources available at 16 local attractions and venues, including the Fort Wayne Zoo, the international airport, Parkview Field, Science Central, the botanical conservatory, and Promenade Park. These digital and print guides utilize a system of icons to communicate the presence of accommodations for a wide range of needs, covering mobility, hearing, vision, sensory processing, and cognitive disabilities.

The primary value of Visit Fort Wayne's initiative lies in its capacity to reduce uncertainty and anxiety for individuals and families who may have specific requirements, as they can now plan their outings with a clear understanding of what to expect in terms of physical access, quiet spaces, or assistive technologies.
