VIPKid is a Chinese company that was created to teach young Chinese students English by connecting them to North American teachers online.

The company recently raised $200 million in order to expand into new markets and "broaden its academic offerings," and it will eventually offer different lessons. For now, it gives North American teachers the opportunity to make extra money by working online, and it helps young Chinese students learn English – as China has recently seen a boom in parents seeking to provide their kids with quality education when it comes to learning languages.
