Spotify Now Has Video Podcast Content for Select Shows

Spotify initially began testing video podcast content in May, and now the platform indicated that the multimedia format will now be implemented for select shows. The company states that the video podcast content will be the "the first versions" of the new features. Spotify states that users can access podcast videos the same way they find podcasts, and videos will play once an episode is selected, with full-screen capabilities.

The new feature will be available in all Spotify markets where podcasts are available, and it will be accessible to both free and premium users.

Spotify released a statement about the new feature, stating that “fans can get to know their favorite podcast hosts even better, and creators can more deeply connect with their audiences.”
