Verified by Spotify is a new signal of authenticity for artists behind the music to utilize as a way to communicate with listeners that they are a real person.

The new badge comes in response to the changing landscape in the market thanks to artificial intelligence (AI) to provide peace of mind to listeners who are weary of AI artists, spam and fakes. The badge will show up on the artist's profile and under their name as a way to help listeners know that they have located the right person when searching or simply browsing.

Verified by Spotify is slated to start rolling out now and over time to help cover the millions of artist profiles that are on the music streaming platform.
