Select Venmo customers can now apply for a Venmo credit card that has a contactless payment chip and a printed QR code for receiving P2P payments. Each and every card comes with its own unique QR code, which makes it easy for a friend to scan a code and provide payment or split a purchase.
Scanning the QR code on the physical card calls up the user's Venmo profile so that they can easily send or receive payments from the cardholder. This Venmo credit card offers monthly cashback rewards from 1% to 3% and as well as receiving a physical card, users get a virtual one that they can use for applications like online shopping.
Soon, all eligible Venmo customers in the US will be able to apply for the Venmo credit card.
