The Nestlé vegan KitKat candy bar is being launched by the brand in the UK in a bid to offer an adapted version of the iconic treat that meets the changing dietary needs of consumers. The product is reported to feature a smooth chocolate that has been achieved with plant-based ingredients along with a signature crispy wafer. The product is made with 100% sustainable cocoa that has been sourced through the Nestlé Cocoa Plan in collaboration with the Rainforest Alliance.

Head of the Nestlé Confectionery Product Technology Centre in York Louise Barrett spoke on the new Nestlé vegan KitKat candy bar saying, "Taste was a priority when developing the plant-based chocolate for our new vegan KitKat. We used our expertise in ingredients, together with a test and learn approach, to create a delicious vegan choice for KitKat fans.”
