A variety of tea flavors are being introduced to food items, but this vegan cheesecake recipe incorporates multiple kinds of tea while also being free of dairy. Created by Emma Galloway from My Darling Lemon Thyme and featured on the blog My Name Is Yeh, the dessert consists of dairy-free mini chai cheesecakes with an earl grey fig sauce on top. Whether you enjoy it as a sweet treat, a tea time snack or a delicious breakfast, you cannot go wrong.
The vegan cheesecake recipe has a smooth and creamy texture that is closer to a "silken cashew tart" than a traditional cream cheese cheesecake. The filling is made with a number of yummy ingredients including raw cashews, maple syrup and a number of spices that mimic a chai tea flavor. The earl grey fig sauce is made with tea bags, plus dried figs, lemon juice, maple syrup and boiling water.
