At SuperZoo 2022, pet nutrition start-up Because, Animals debuted its new line of sustainable, vegan cat treats. These new high-protein treats for cats are free from animal-based ingredients and they achieve "what was previously thought to be impossible."

The Freeze-Dried Noochies! Snacks are fueled by all-natural ingredients and no animal-based meats, fats, meals or byproducts. With a combination of Bmmune (the company’s proprietary blend of nutritional yeast that contains high levels of protein and B vitamins) and fermented Koji berries, the protein-packed treats for cats are described as "the world's first truly sustainable cat treat," by Joshua Errett, co-founder and chief operating officer of Because, Animals.

These vegan cat treats are easy on the environment and don't contribute to a greenhouse gas-emitting factory farming system.
