Strategic Biotechnology Skincare Partnerships

Vegalab Partners with PL Story and Plcoskin

Vegalab, a Swiss biotechnology company, has entered into a North American distribution agreement with PL Story, the owner of the YOULIEF dermocosmetic brand. At the same time, the brand also established a separate research collaboration with Plcoskin, a Korean regenerative medicine developer, to combine Vegalab's nano-encapsulation technology with Plcoskin's biopolymer science for potential applications in tissue regeneration and post-procedure skincare.

Under the distribution arrangement, Vegalab is now responsible for bringing the YOULIEF range — which includes the CICA line, DIA serums, ECW ampoule — and sun care products, to consumers in the United States and Canada.

The research collaboration, which pairs Vegalab's multi-layer biopolymer capsules engineered to release active ingredients upon specific triggers with Plcoskin's biodegradable polymer scaffolds and collagen structures used in regenerative medicine, represents a convergence of complementary expertise, as both companies essentially work with polymers that must perform predictably over time, albeit at different scales and in different biological contexts
