The Hario V60 NEO Has a Redesigned Rib Structure for Faster Extraction

The Hario V60 NEO marks the first major structural redesign of the iconic pour-over dripper in nearly two decades. Instead of the classic spiral rib pattern, the new brewer introduces 72 fine vertical ribs along the upper walls that transition into nine deeper ribs near the base. The revised geometry is designed to guide water more evenly through the coffee bed before accelerating flow toward the outlet, producing a cleaner and more balanced extraction.

Hario developed the V60 NEO over a two-year testing process focused on rib count, flow dynamics, and brewing consistency. The dripper is made from Tritan resin, a lightweight material intended to improve heat retention and temperature stability during brewing. The V60 NEO also remains compatible with existing V60 switch bases, allowing users to integrate the updated brewer into current setups without replacing additional equipment.
