Tag Heuer Formula 1 Solargraph Indy 500 Has a Solar-Powered Movement

TAG Heuer has released a new Formula 1 Solargraph model celebrating the Indianapolis 500 through a black-and-red racing-inspired design. The chronograph features a 38mm sandblasted steel case, red accents across the dial and bezel, and Indy 500 branding engraved on the caseback. Powered by TAG Heuer’s Solargraph movement, the watch uses light exposure for charging and can operate for months without additional sunlight after a full charge.

The Formula 1 Solargraph Indy 500 retains the collection’s motorsport-focused aesthetic while introducing updated sustainability-focused technology through its solar-powered quartz caliber. The watch also includes Super-LumiNova hands and markers, a rubber racing strap, and 100 meters of water resistance. TAG Heuer developed the release as part of its ongoing partnership with the Indianapolis 500 and broader involvement in international motorsport timing.
