3D-Printed Titanium Timepieces

The Panerai Submersible GMT PAM01495 Has a Polarized Lens

The Panerai Submersible GMT PAM01495 timepiece is positioned as a hyper-engineered watch that's crafted using a series of ultra-advanced techniques alongside the brand's signature technologies. The timepiece puts a skeletonized dial in focus to allow the various components inside to act as the industrial design-driven focal point, while the patented polarized date window to replace the conventional date disk found in watches. The 47mm case is achieved using the Direct Metal Laser Sintering technology that essentially 3D prints Grade 5 titanium powder layer by layer using a laser to allow complex geometries and precision internal spacing to be achieved.

The Panerai Submersible GMT PAM01495 timepiece is paired with a matte blue ceramic insert for the unidirectional rotating bezel that matches the rubber strap. Offering water resistance to 500-meters, the watch is available exclusively at Panerai boutiques for $50,300.

3d-printed Titanium Timepieces
The use of Direct Metal Laser Sintering to produce Grade 5 titanium cases enables intricate internal geometries and part consolidation that challenge traditional multi-piece metalworking methods.
Polarized Display Integration
A patented polarized date window replacing conventional disks points to compact optical modules that can deliver new forms of information display without increasing dial clutter.
Skeletonized Industrial Aesthetics
Exposing mechanical components as the visual focal point promotes design philosophies that fuse functional engineering with high-value aesthetics, opening paths for visible modular systems.

Industries Being Reshaped
