Model Edita Vilkeviciute channels her inner Che Guevara for the V Spain 'Guerilla Girl' editorial. Strong and fierce, she does justice to the Argentine Marxist revolutionary, who is both a revered and reviled historical figure as well as a ubiquitous countercultural symbol of rebellion in popular culture.
The V Spain Guerilla Girl editorial was shot by photographer Nathaniel Goldberg. Appearing in the magazine's spring 2012 issue, the Lithuanian beauty walks along Spanish streets armed with impressive weapons and styled in even more impressive outfits. Stylist Gillian Wilkins helps to romanticize the Spanish Civil War with feminized military getups. The ensembles are elegant and structured, crisp and contemporary. Vilkeviciute's disheveled hair and smokey eyes lend a distressed appeal to the otherwise put together outfits.
