There are so many factors that you cannot control when you're traveling by bus, train or airplane so the goal of Ur Aria was to establish some sense of personal space in a single article of clothing.
Gustavo Primavera worked with Ana Isabel Palacios and Maria Chiara Cacciani to come up with a hoodie that could improve travelers' experiences by allowing elements like privacy, security, temperature, brightness and surface to be adjusted within the hands of the wearer. The draw-string hood allows one to shut out her seat mate and take a little snooze. For warmth, the user can turn the garment into a scarf or tuck her hands into the pockets. The pouches can store personal possessions and the hood of Ur Aria inflates into a pillow to provide cushioning for one's head.
