The Numbers Aren’t in Place On This Unique Watch Face

This unique watch face may confuse your senses at first, because the numbers that are supposed to tell time are not there to tell time. Numbers from zero to 12 are jumbled up in curly, informal fonts at the lower right side of the perfect circle watch face. The result is a minimalist and artistic piece that changes our views on what numbers are supposed to represent on a timepiece.

What’s special about this watch face is that its numbers are not there to serve the functionally of indicating time. Instead, numbers are used as a background print design, breaking the traditional role of numbers on any timepiece. In its messy and clustered arrangement, the watch’s face reminds us of Salvador Dalí‘s melting painting, The Persistence of Time.
