The glass will be usable on more than just phones, as Corning expects that the new super-tough window into your electronics will also be usable in laptops, televisions, tablets and portable gaming devices. Having a super-tough screen might be overkill on a stationary television in a living room, but in a world where portable devices’ lifespan can be instantly ended with one high drop onto the pavement, this is certainly welcome news.
