Ahmed Seddiqi Designs the TYPE 9 S75 Watch Limited to 20 Pieces

Ressence introduces the TYPE 9 S75 which is limited to 20 pieces and honors Ahmed Seddiqi's 75th anniversary milestone. The watch is complete with a dial filled with real sand -- the sand is from all seven Emirates of the UAE. It is all equally sourced from the dunes in order to bring the desert landscape into the mechanical device.

Ressence founder Benoît Mintiens speaks about the timepiece, “The watch is a unique tribute to the nation’s landscape, heritage and innovative thinking." The textured dial reflects the moving sand dunes and Mintiens described the piece as just at the "crossroads of the ancient hourglass and contemporary design.”It weighs 40 grams and is a living art canvas of nature in motion.
