See Thru Garments

X-Ray Vision Glasses Not Included With 'Intimacy' Line

Dutch artist, Daan Roosegaarde is taking wearable technology to a new level with his latest project Intimacy being developed in collaboration with his Studio, V2_Lab, and fashion designer Maartje Dijkstra. What started with a material that turns from white to transparent was developed into a custom garment with wireless interactive technology built in, called smart foils, that control the level of transparency. The closer one gets to the garment, the more transparent it becomes, creating what he calls “an intimate experience and a sensual play of disclosure."

As the project is further developed, plans are being made to create a limited collection of see through items that will debut on the catwalks in 2010.

I never thought I would see the day where an average person has Superman-like powers with x-ray vision eyes.
