All the companies involved in this venture are hoping to collect valuable data for future self-driving efforts and hope to relive congestion and traffic in urban Japanese areas. In its current state, the system combines historical data, weather reports, local event schedules and public transport availability before using AI to predict the demand for hired transport.
The TransLog system works in conjunction with JapanTaxi's fleet and connects to it with an AI system focused on dispatching vehicles. This service will allow the taxis to more accurately service high-traffic areas and will maximize overall efficiency. The Translog system will also collect GPS data, video and other vehicle data to teach itself and provide pivotal information to all the companies involved int his venture.
