Casio's Palm-Sized TR Mini Camera is Disguised as a Makeup Tool

Casio is continuing to expand its TR series with its newest release, the TR Mini, which takes the form of a dedicated selfie camera that's disguised as a makeup compact.

The $500 selfie-specific camera is targeted at young women in China, offering features such as built-in LED lights to illuminate one's face, as well as different modes like Sculp, Slim and Makeup. Like a smartphone, the device boasts a touchscreen and the ability to easily send captured images to one's mobile device via Bluetooth for seamless sharing on social media.

Although a smartphone is the go-to selfie-taking gadget of choice for the majority of consumers, cameras that have been expressly designed for the purpose of taking selfies are valued by young social media users who literally want to present themselves in the best light.
