Touch-Free Screen Technologies

TouchNetix's New aXiom Chip Integration Can Register Hover Gestures

TouchNetix, a company specializing in touch technology, has announced that it has integrated single-chip aXiom technology into its product offerings which allows for superior 3D sensing capabilities that can detect and read air gestures. What this means is that the new tech, when installed on a screen or display, is able to perform totally touch-free functions -- a breakthrough for a wide range of consumer-focused applications.

More specifically, the single-chip aXiom technology allows for proximity sensing up to 15 centimeters above the surface of a screen or display. This means that screens can be set up to detect hover gestures. One of the benefits of this new technology is that it reduces the risk of picking up and transferring bacteria and viruses via public screens.
