Renowned designer Tom Ford has a long history of creating luxury fashion, but the Tom Ford 001 is the first exploration the designer has ever taken into luxury timepieces. The new timepiece has been created in partnership with Bedrock Manufacturing Company, the same company that produces Shinola and Filson. Bedrock is known for its high-quality American leather craftsmanship and its imprint on the Tom Ford 001 is easily noticed. The strap, which is interchangeable, features a braided design and is meant to effortlessly wrap around the wrist and complement the minimalist face.
There is no word as to the movement powering the timepiece, but it is safe to assume that it is using a caliber from Ronda, the same base movement used in Shinola and Filson watches. The body of the watch features a rectangular face and is currently available in four finishes: yellow gold and brushed, polished gold and matte stainless steel. The design of the Tom Ford 001 is meant to be unisex and the sleek watch body features a slight curve to easily wrap around the wrist in an incredibly ergonomic way.
