T-Mobile recently finished its merger with Sprint, and following this, the company announced that T-Mobile family plans will now be able to receive a free year of Quibi, or a free year of Netflix. Quibi will launch on April 6th, and the platform will be focused on providing short-form video content that is accessible exclusively through mobile phones. Overall, the free offering may entice more consumers to sign up for T-Mobile family Plans.
Typically the Quibi service costs either $4.99 a month for a plan with ads and $7.99 per month for access to the platform free of advertising. The platform also has a unique technology named Turnstyle, that allows users to switch to portrait or landscape viewing, which the company filed a patent for.
