Adventurous Tinned Fish Products

Tiny Fish Co. Debuted 'Smoked Mussels En Escabeche'

Tiny Fish is a woman-owned company with a mission to inspire the canned fish industry with products that are sustainable and tasty. The brand recently launched a sustainably sourced, chef-made tinned fish product that "encourages consumers to think outside the box." Dubbed the 'Smoked Mussels En Escabeche,' the new offering features smoked mussels from The Pacific Northwest marinated in a savory sauce.

Amid the pandemic, the tinned fish category had a resurgence with many consumers opting to incorporate the easily prepared food into their health-focused diets. "Tinned fish is having a moment," said Sara Hauman, Tiny Fish Co. owner and chef. "The artistry behind the preservation techniques and even the design of the tins and packaging seem to be increasing the widespread popularity of fish in cans in the US."
