Doing laundry with conventional washing machines and dryers often requires a fair bit of bending and/or squatting, so the conceptual 'Tilt' washing machine is designed to help eliminate this aspect of the process. The washing machine features a tilting construction that will open in a similar fashion to a dishwasher to offer easier access to the drum within. This also works to save space in smaller living spaces where wide opening doors simply would not be able to fit.
The conceptual 'Tilt' washing machine is the design work of Hyun Yeol Shin and draws inspiration from laundry hampers that maintain a tilting access panel in the front. One unit would be suitable for one to two-person households, while an additional unit could be added for larger families.
