The TikTok platform is now testing a feature that allows users to provide links to products in the content they post. The test was uncovered by Fabian Bern, who is the founder of a Chinese influencer marketing agency, titled Uplab. Subsequently, the company has commented on the test and stated that it is an experiment that will test potential improvements that could be made on the app.
The new test feature on the TikTok platform allows purchases to be made through the platform. The platform is widely popular, and the feature could result in increased revenue for products promoted on TikTok. Overall, if the test is extended it could drastically increase the profitability of the platform.
