Oakley's 'Thermonuclear Protection' Line Recalls 90s Motorcross

Oakley, the lifestyle clothing brand based in California, unveils its latest capsule for spring in collaborative works with creative director and designer Justin O'Shea, ultimately crafting the 'Thermonuclear Protection' series. The collection maintains a retro aesthetic by tapping into influence of motorcross culture and old school 90s California vibes.

The Thermonuclear Protection collection features a range of 22 branded looks, which include fleece garments, t-shirts, pants, and outerwear pieces. Some notable details consist of cockroach graphics because it is the only insect able to survive in nuclear settings, maximum protection condoms, and Iridium-inspired fiery colors. The collection was all shot in Northern Los Angeles and takes perspective through a creative approach on motorcross tracks to upkeep Oakley's "off-road" idea for the warmer season. The Thermonuclear Protection capsule will be available for purchse on Selfridges and Oakley's website on February 28th.
