If you’ve been living under a rock for the last decade, The Wire was a five season HBO drama set in Baltimore that explored western society’s urban plight by way of the heroin trade, police department, mayor’s office, Baltimore port and the school system. It ran five seasons from 2002 to 2008 and is widely heralded as one of the best shows HBO has ever produced.
