There are more than a few hikers who will dare to venture through narrow, treacherous mountain paths, only to discover too late that night has fallen and they are nowhere in reach of safety. Designer Chukai's the Sound of Light is a three-in-one emergency safety device that comes equipped with a powerful LED light, an ear-splitting whistle, a compass and a thermometer.

Many hikers usually only carry one or two of the devices, but the chances of discovery and efficient extraction are only increased by the combination of both sight and sound to spot and detect. The device uses an internal rotor that generates electricity for the LED light when air is blown through the contraption, serving as a noticeable beacon from afar.
