The planted.steak product is headed to the UK market thanks to a listing at Tesco where it's expected to be a hit amongst shoppers seeking out an authentic alternative to traditional meat cuts.

The product boasts its plant-based recipe with soy protein, bean and rice flour, rapeseed oil and a complex mix of microbial cultures, which combine to deliver an authentic steak-inspired experience. The product also boasts high-quality protein with a high fiber content that's rich in vitamin B12 and iron. The product produces 97% less CO₂ than conventional meat and requires 81% less water.
