Vans and MOCA has Collaborated on a New Streetwear Collection

Vans and the Museum of Contemporary Art, Los Angeles are collaborating, taking art appreciation to the streets. The apparel features Californian artists like Judy Baca, Frances Stark, and Brenna Youngblood.

Pieces from Judy Baca's international project 'The World Wall: A Vision of the Future Without Fear' are printed on the clothing depicting "the beginning of any movement of a society towards peace: the individual taking action," according to Baca's website. Those that feature Frances Stark's prints are meant to speak to modern media, while Brenna Youngblood's works are featured to give a nod to the American pop culture themes often featured in her work.

The work of these Californian artists can be seen on hoodies, shirts, hats, and shoes of the collection. Given the accessibility of these items, Vans and The Museum of Contemporary Art (MOCA) collaboration can be appreciated by artists and non-artists alike.
