Hollow Rotating Clocks

The Holo Clock is Hollow and Uses Rotating Rings to Tell the Time

The Holo Clock is the brainchild of Saul Emmet Quinn. This innovative clock design uses a series of rotating rings to tell the time. Unlike its traditional predecessors, the Holo Clock is deceptively hallowed through its center. The deception aspect of this design is that despite its dysfunctional appearance, it performs as well as any traditional clock does.

Quinn's unique clock uses a set of rotating rings with time hands on them to tell the time. These rings are controlled by a stepper motor at the bottom of the device. To ensure that the clock stays in place, it comes with a flat base. Suitable for tabletop surfaces, the admirable piece is currently not for sale but is, nonetheless, an impressive ingenuity.
