Duck-Shaped Lamps

The Duke Table Lamp Transforms a Continuous Tubular Form into a Playful Lighting

The Duke table lamp is a sculptural lighting concept by Liam de la Bedoyere of Bored Eye Design that uses a single bent tubular form to create the silhouette of a duck. Finished in a matte yellow color, the lamp features a cylindrical head that functions as the light source, while visible tubular joints and smooth curves reinforce its minimalist construction. A circular base provides stability, and a matching braided power cable extends from the base as an integrated design detail.

Built around a monochromatic aesthetic, the lamp emphasizes silhouette over decorative detailing, allowing its animal-inspired form to remain the focal point across a variety of interior settings. The design continues the designer's exploration of animal-shaped lighting, following the same continuous-tube approach introduced in the Flamingo Lamp.
