Hi-Tech Recycling Containers

The Thank Pod Has LCD Screens That Display a Range of Information

With the Summer Olympics just around the corner, London is starting to introduce some exciting new additions to its streets, and that includes the Thank Pod. Unlike traditional trash cans and recycling bins, the Thank Pod boasts some unique features.

Developed by private company Renew, the Thank Pod sports dual-screen LCDs, which are able to display content from any source. As of right now, those sources include the London stock exchange and The Economist. The Thank Pod is also bombproof.

Five years in the making, the Thank Pod cost nearly $2,000 to make. London is rolling out 25 to begin with while other cities such as New York and Tokyo have also jumped on the bandwagon.
