Nike's New Tech Pack for FW18 Highlights Performance Materials

Nike recently unveiled its latest Tech Pack lookbook for the Fall/Winter 2018 season, featuring a series of technical sportswear designs. The capsule is comprised of new performance fabric materials that include special waffle knits and woven processes. Some athletic pieces include running rights, shorts, track jackets, gloves, sports bras, sweaters and cropped jackets with hoods. The spotlighted element is the tonal finish of the apparel, adorned in bright hits of volt yellow, electric pink and metallic silver.

Many of the pieces take fashion aesthetics into consideration, as the label often highlights the fusion between function and fashion. Kurt Parker of Nike's apparel design team explains that the design process draws familiar elements to sportswear. This includes designing familiar pieces such as a gray hoodie without the distractions of unconventional materials for athletic purposes.
