Superelastic clear aligner materials are advancing orthodontic technology as Angelalign Technology introduces MC-SE, a proprietary material designed for greater flexibility and consistent force delivery. Developed over seven years, the material incorporates medical-grade polyamide, offering improved strength and elasticity compared with the company's existing PETG-based aligners.
MC-SE is engineered to apply gentle, sustained pressure while maintaining its shape throughout wear. During laboratory testing at eight percent strain, the material returned to its original form, while conventional PETG and Angelalign's previous material remained visibly deformed. These properties could provide orthodontists with additional options for managing complex dental cases.
For Angelalign, the development creates opportunities to differentiate its products and expand its orthodontic material portfolio. Future variations could support different treatment requirements, strengthening the company's competitive position across international markets once necessary regulatory registrations are obtained.
