Japanese folks evidently like snow. There are a number of fairs and festivals that celebrate the frozen white stuff - the Sapporo Snow Festival, the Lake Tazawa Snow Festival, and the Kanda Yuki-Daruma Fair, to name a few. At one fair, they even trucked in 70 tons of snow. These pics show just how cool snow can be.
