The Classic Kodak 'Super 8' Camera Receives a Modern Makeover at CES 2016

Kodak has announced at this years CES 2016 it will be bring back the classic 'Super 8' video camera with a variety of modern digital features.

The initiative is meant to reintroduce the retro recording technology to a new generation of users, much like how vinyl records have experienced a similar resurgence. The new camera's been given a slimmed down redesign that's significantly smaller than the classic model. The new camera also features a 3.5 inch digital viewfinder, a built-in light meter, a user interface and is charged through a USB interface similar to more modern devices.

Where this new Kodak camera differs is that it still records on classic Super 8 film stock that maintains the same retro film quality. Users can send the footage off to Kodak, where it will be sent back in both original and digital form.
