Lipid-Based Production Expansions

Gattefossé Validated Eight Ingredients at Its Lufkin Facility

Gattefossé validated eight strategic ingredients for production at its Lufkin, Texas, facility, including three pharmaceutical excipients and five cosmetic ingredients. The milestone follows the site’s EXCiPACT GMP and EFfCI certifications, with each ingredient supported by analytical validation, stability data, regulatory documentation and a complete technical equivalence file.

The pharmaceutical portfolio includes Peceol, Compritol 888 and Geleol Mono and Diglycerides NF, lipid excipients used in solubilization, modified-release systems and semi-solid formulations. The personal care lineup includes Emulium Mellifera MB, Compritol 888 CG MB, Emulium Delta MB, Plurol Diisostearique CG and LAS MB, which support emulsification, texturizing and surfactant applications across skincare, makeup, sun care and haircare.

By localizing oleochemical manufacturing in the U.S., Gattefossé is increasing regional capacity and supply chain resilience. The validation provides formulators with dependable domestic sourcing, consistent quality and closer access to the company’s global technical support network.
