Morbid Storefront Displays

Barney's Show Outfits Are to Die For

Barney's usually represents luxury, class and elegance, but this storefront display is nothing short of a gore flick. The set of doors to the entrance displays two mannequins wearing attire by Helmut Lang and A.L.C. hunched over with blood-splattered windows.

One thing is for certain, the display is certainly eye-catching in its morbidity and is definitely something worlds apart from what you would normally see in a Madison Avenue storefront display.

Implications - Many consumers are bombarded daily with various advertisements, so companies must consider more shocking ways to garner recognition. Morbidity and shockvertising are two great ways to instantly gain attention from customers to help sell a product.
