Integrated Camping SUVs

The Stelato G9 Offers an Optional Factory-Integrated Rooftop Tent

The Stelato G9 is an upcoming electric SUV developed by Huawei and BAIC Group that introduces an optional factory-integrated rooftop tent built directly into the roof and sunroof assembly. Activated from the vehicle's cockpit, the push-button system deploys a two-part tent that sits flush with the roofline when closed. The camping setup also includes a deployable side awning, distinguishing it from conventional aftermarket rooftop tents that require external mounting.

The SUV will be offered in both fully electric and extended-range electric variants, with seating configurations for five or six passengers. Measuring 5.2 meters long with a 3.16-meter wheelbase, the G9 is certified to tow up to 2,000 kilograms and offers a 900-millimeter wading depth alongside a side-opening tailgate, external storage box, roof rack, and tow hook. Preorders begin on August 5 ahead of a planned third-quarter 2026 launch in China.
