This stain-glassed telephone booth is an art installation created by UK-based artist Laura Keeble. Found outside the streets of London, the piece fulfilled the Keeble’s intention with art to create a pause. She states her inspiration is making, “a brief moment in time, when a double-take allows for an internal question, a need to assess or understand.”
The religious iconography is made from individual panels of reclaimed antiques and stained glass. With the help of lead, solder and mixed media, it is the perfect place to go after a night out on the town or to get some peace in the midday work week. The confessional is a great example on how to use banal empty space to create a work of art.
