Uber turned its St. Patrick’s Day campaign into a safe ride initiative called “Uber IrishXit,” celebrating the social habit known as the “Irish exit,” where you leave a gathering without saying goodbye. The campaign was launched in collaboration with Mother New York, and is fronted by Irish Love Island and Traitors US star Maura Higgins and directed by Cameron Harris of Gravy Films.

Shot in a 45-second ad-within-an-ad style, Higgins breaks the fourth wall, highlighting how appealing it feels to go home in an UberX using the 17% off code IRISHEXIT17 without telling anyone before relaxing in a bath. The ad reframes a previous social faux pas as an enticing idea for a younger generation drinking less alcohol on a holiday centered around it.
