Beachside Spring Runways

The Spring 2019 Ready-to-Wear Chanel Show Was Styled Like a Real Beach

Just as the Cruise 2018/19 collection from Chanel took inspiration from the seas, the Spring 2019 Ready-to-Wear Chanel runway shared scenes of life by the beach. For the show at Paris Fashion Week, an elaborate set was created, including everything from blue skies and sand to a wave machine and towering lifeguard stations.

Some of the pieces that models walked down the sandy runway included suits, free-flowing silk dresses, 80s-style jackets, classic chain bags and plenty of Chanel logos, which appeared on numerous kinds of accessories like belts and earrings.

The expansive Spring fashion collection cycled through an array of summery shades, including bright pink, aqua and cheery yellow, with many of the styles grounded by timeless beige, black and white schemes to appeal to the many needs of the modern Chanel woman.
