The Musholm Sports Resort in Denmark has recently undergone a renovation to make its facilities completely accessible to people with a range of physical disabilities.
Updates to the sports resort include a variety of features designed to help people with disabilities live, play and navigate comfortably around the premises. Guide lighting around the entirety of the resort and tactile maps allow guests with visual impairment to find their way. 24 newly built holiday homes have mechanized lifts for access, as well as automatic curtains, doors and windows and beds that can be raised, lowered or propped up at the headboard with the touch of a button.
The athletic facilities are located in the center of the sports resort, and are accessed by a ramp that wraps around the entire height of the building, stopping at each floor and eventually leading to the rooftop terrace.
